SIZE OF RACE FIELDS.
MATTER FOR CONFERENCE. A reply to a telegram protesting against the practice of allowing too many horses to run in any one ■face. was received from the Hon. K. F. Bollard. Minister for Internal Affairs, by Mr. W. E. .Parry, M.P., yesterday. The Minister stated: "Your telegram regarding "the number of horses which started in certain events at. the recent To Kuiti meeting received. With regard to the number., t>/ hordes accepted for the Hot Springs' Handicap to be run at Jlotorua to-morrow, I have communicated your representations by telegram to the ivow Zealand Racing Conference for consideration."
