POWER OF EMPIRE.
PROMOTION OF PEACE. VISCOUNT MILNER'S VIEWS. Sun> CAPETOWN. Feb. 12. Viscount Milner sailed for England to-day. In an interview prior to his departure lie said the main object of his political endeavour was to keep the Empire together. " How people get enthusiastic about the League of Nations before the existing League of British Nations is properly organised," said Lord Milner, I cannot understand. In the British Empire we possess the finest engine for promoting peace and civilisation, but we are careless about developing it. I will not hold office again. I would like to write my reminiscences, in order to be saved from the horror of some other individual writlug my biography."
