KILLED BY AN AVALANCHE.
FATALITY IN SWITZERLAND. YOUNG ENGLISHMAN'S FATE. GIRL COMPANION SURVIVES. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Received 5.5 p.m.) Renter. LONDON. Feb. 12. Mr. Edgar Will's, a member c>f the famous tobacco manufacturing family, and a young lady, Miss Mueller, were overwhelmed by an avalanche at Engethal, on Mount Schilthorn, Switzerland, during a ski excursion to the peak of the mountain. Miss Mueller rivas extricated alive, but Mr. Wills was dead when he was found. The victim of the fatality was the youngest son of Mis Melville Wills, a director of the Bristol firm. Mr. Edgar Wills was on a holiday with his parents. The members of the ski-ing party were accompanied by a guide. The deceased and Miss Mueller, when they were caught by the avalanche, disappeared. Miss Mueller was found unconscious. Her companion was juried beneath very thick snow, from which his body was eventually dug out. • A doctor stated that death was due to suffocation. Deceased was not connected with his father's firm. He saw service.in the war.
