MOTOR-CAR RACING.

MEETING AT MURIWAI. The annua! motor-car races conducted l>y tho. Auckland Autoniobilo Association will be held at Muriwai Beach next Saturday, February 21. starting at 11.30 a.m. The programme is being commenced two hours earlier than at the last meeting. This will enable visitors to see.,the programme right through and still get home before dark. The following officials have been appointed for the meeting:—Judges, Mr. Geo. Hcnning and Mr. J. A. Waruock; time-keeper, Air. W. (Joltman: inspector of cars, Mr. 11. 15. Spinks; starter, Jit - . J. A. Gillett; assistant starter, Mr. G. G. Campbell; clerk of course, ]\lr. H. Butcher; hatidicappers, Mr. F. B, Cadman, Mr. P. J. Cullett, and Mr. P. !?. Skeates; in charge oC gates. Air. G. White; parking steward, Mr. P. 11. Skcates. Tho chairman of the sports conifaitt-ce is Sir. F. 0. Farrell, who is directing all arrangements. Mr. T. AI. V. Morton is honorary secretary. Tho programme numbers eight events, including the New Zealand Motor Cup, New Zealand Light Car Cup, and tho Australasian 5-mile beach record. For tho senior cup contest, ten contestants j are shown in the acceptances, and the race, which is over a distance of 50 miles, includes seven turns. In the Light Car Cup there will be 12 starters, tho distance and number of turns being the same as in tho New Zealand Motor Cup.
