WIFE MOLESTED.
COURT IMPOSES FINE. For molesting his wife, Elizabeth Sarah Griffin (Mr. Bennett), in Queen Street, during the currency of a separation order, Alfred Frederick Griffin (Mr. Matthews), was fined £1 and costs by Mr. \V. R. McKean, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court. Mr. Bennett said an order for separation, maintenance and guardianship was granted complainant on January 36. When defendant met his wife ho endeavoured to engage her in conversation. lie used threatening language, which coulu be heard by passers-by, and annoyed complainant'in other ways. He asked to sec his eight-year-old child. Defendant denied the allegations, and said ho merely asked to see his child.
