ELECTRIC LINESMEN.
HEARING OF DISPUTE. The dispute between the Electrical Trades Union and the Auckland Power Board with regard to linesmen and other assistants was heard before s conciliation council yesterday, the conciliation com- . missioner, Mr. P. Hall/, presiding. Messrs. C. M. Speedy, E. Fttzwiiliam and M. P. O'Leary appeared for the union, and Messrs. B. H. Bart ley and H. Edwards, with Mr. S. E. Wright, as agent, for the board. Complete agreement was reached on all points except the wages for cablelayers* assistants and hours of work. These two. matters will be referred to a meeting of the union for discussion. The rate of wages of electrical workers has been raised by the. Conciliation Council which heard the dispute from 2s lfd to 2s 2d, not to 2s 10d, as reported yester- •• day. t ' ,
