BANKRUPTCY PETITION. MONEY-LENDER'S CLAIM. ■ LONDON. Feb. 2. Major-General A. S. CoLlard, who held many important positions during the Great War,and who was Director of Water Transport in France and Mesopotamia, failed to attend the Bankruptcy Court to answer the petition of a money-lender, for £613. Tbo official receiver announced that the whereabouts of Major-General Co Hard were unknown. The Daily Mail states that MajorGeneral Collard has gone on a business trip to West Africa. It recalls the fact that he created the war-time mystery at tho port of Richborough. » Major-General Albert Sydney Collard, C.8., C.V.Q., was born in 1876, and has had a distinguished career. He served in the South African war (Queen's Medal with three clasps), in Nigeria, and in the Great War. lor his services in the last, he received the freedom of the City of Canterbury,
