The motions recently passed by the Council of the Wellington Law Society in regard to appointments to the Supreme Court Bench, and to the salaries and pensions paid to Judges, have been approved by the Council of the Canterbury Law Society. The following motion was also passed"That in tbo opinion of the Council of the Canterbury Law Society the minimum salary of a Judge should be £3OOO a year, and that some provision should be made for a pension to the widow of a Judge."
