AUSTRALIAN PIGS.
STUD STOCK IMPORTED. Mr. F. Discombe, of Lucernedale, Hautapn, Cambridge, has just imported from Australia six pedigree pigs, consisting of large white, middle white and Berkshire, selected from the leading strains in Australia. These animals are for Mr. Dis» combe's stud at Hautapu, where there are over 300 pigs, nearly all pedigree animals, including representative Yorkshire, Berkshire, Tamworth, large blacks and large whites. In view of the fact that the export of frozen pork promises to become a verylarge industry in Nev? Zealand the importation of fresh blood from good strains is a matter of considerable importance.
