ALLOCATION OF PERMITS. PROBABLE DESTINATIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION'.] WELLINGTON. Monday. It is expected that the Minister's decisions regarding the distribution of new totalisator permits will be issued at the end of this week or the beginning of next. On representations made to the Minister and his general attitude, it is predicted that extra galloping permits for such clubs as Hamilton and Stratford are practically certain. The majority will probably go to growing country clubs in Auckland, and none to metropolitan clubs. Manawatu is not considered in the running, as it is surrounded by other clubs. It may turn out that a second meeting to Nelson would be the only concession to the South Island. There is a possibility of one or two non-totali-sator meetings being assisted.
