Ihe Chekiang lender, Marshal La Yunghsiaiig, continues to advance. lighting is still in progress around Soochow, Marshal Chi Hsieh-yuan's Kiangsu troops have partially evacuated the city. Chi has returned to Shanghai and his forces arc also retreating to that city.
