FOOTBALL ON GARDENS.
PRACTICE IN MYERS PARK. SEVEN YOUTHS PROSECUTED. Football practice in Myers Park on January 4. resulted "in the prosecution of seven youths, before Mr. «T. W. Poynton, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Six of the party appeared and pleaded guilty.. The park caretaker said the gardens had suffered slightly from the football. Mr. Povntori warned the boys not to repeat the offence, and the charges against the six were dismissed upon payment of 4s 8d costs by each defendant. The boy who failed to appear was convicted and fined 10s.
