BENEFITS OF LATE RAINS. [BY TELEGRAM. —-OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAURANGA, Wednesday. The rain, whic.it set in last Saturday night, cleared off last night. The fine weather will be welcomed by some farmers, who have still to harvest hay crops. The moisture has greatly accelerated the growth of green maize, lucerne stands, and pastures.
