ATTENDANCE AT CHURCH.
CHILDREN PROHIBITED. Any doubt whether churches are included in the list of places which children finder 16 are debarred from attending under the Health Department restrictions was removed yesterday by Dr. Hughes, who stated definitely that the prohibition applied to tho church as well as to Sunday school attendance. A prominent Anglican minister said it was hardly tho duty of the vicar to send children home who might come to church, tho responsibility resting rather with tho parents to see they did not attend. So far as some of the city churches were concerned, it might be better for tho children to spend the morning there rather than in crowded nouses and hot backyards. If the Health Department ruled otherwise, however, he was sure the clergy would fall in with their requirements. Choir-bop would be told not to attend, and parents would no doubt see to it that their children did not come to church. All church activities for* young people, such as Boy Sront and Girl Guide meetings, had been abandoned nnt.il snch time as: the restrictions were lifted.
