CITY COUNCIL DEFIED.
LICENSE FEE QUESTION,
BUS 'OWNERS REFUSE TO PAY,
A decision not to pay the heavy traffic license fees imposed by the Auckland City Council was reached, by the Auckland Motor-bus Proprietors' Association last evening. Members said the fees were unreasonable and constituted an unfair class tax. The draft proposals of the Government were thought in the main to be reasonable, and the association will wait until some definite decision is arrived at between the City Council and the Government.
