PARLIAMENTARY ELECTORS.
—Is the next general election to be for male electors over 21 years of age only ? Becauso on reading the ' Notice to persons required to enrol under the Amendment Act of 1924," the clauses are all in the masculine gender. For example: —Clauso 1. "In which he permanently resides." 2. " Upon which he becomes qualified to register." Nothing is implied in the notice about the ladies enrolling, so those who do not enrol (that are qualified) may use the notice as an excuse for not doing so. Should an important notico of this kind bo sent all over the Dominion in such form 'i Electoii.
[There is no cause for alarm about the women's vote. The Acts Interpretation Act provides that in all laws " words importing the masculine gender include females."—Ed. Herald.]
