VICTIM OF THE REDS.
SIGHTLESS WOMAN'S PLIGHT. Mrs. Koppelrnar. who had had both her eyes destroyed by revolutionaries in Russia, and who left Liverpool to join her husband in America, returned to England in October. She was detained on Ellis Island 31 days. The authorities refused to allow her to land because she was sightless. The woman said sbo was ill-treated by the Russians after they had threatened to J gouge out the eyes of her child. Efforts are. being made to obtain permission for' [thq husband to go to England.
