>m AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. There was again good demand for investment stocks on the Auckland sharemarket yesterday, though the volume of business transacted was not great. In Government securities Soldiers' Bonds changed hands at £100 ss, lato sellers quoting £100 15s. War Loan, 1950, had inquiry at £97. Inscribed Stock, 1927, were- sought at £97, sellers £97 10s. In banks Australasias were quoted at £13 123 6d, an advance of Is 6d. New South Wales had buyers at £40 10s, sellers again quoting £41 ss. New Zealands were unchanged with buyers at 59s 6d, sellers 60s 3d. Union of Aastralias had inquiry at £14s Is, an advance of Is. In insurance buyers of New Zealands increased their offers by 3d to 31s 3d, sellers 31s Bd. South British were again sought at 44s 6d without response. In gas Aucklands were inquired for at 24s 4d, an increase of Id. sellers, quoting 24s 9d. In shipping Huddart-I?arkers improved 3d, buyers offering 43s 9d, sellers 44s 6d. Northern Steamship had buyers at 16s, sellers 16s 9d. P. and O. 'Deferred were again quoted at £306. In miscellaneous stocks thero was a sale of Dominion Pictures (pref. ) a); 20s. Sanfords Ltd., sold at 16s 6d, late buyers offering 16s, sellers 17s 3d. Wilsons Cement had sale at 28s 9d, with further inquiry at 28s 6d, sellers 295. In mining Waihis had buyers at 265, sellers 26s 6d. Zeehan Consolidated sold at ss, further buyers offering 4s 6d, sellers 6s. Kawaraus changed hands at 20s, moro being available at that price, lato buyers offering 19s. Moanataiaris again had inquiry at Is 9d, sellers 2s 3d. The following sales took place:— diers' Bonds, £100 ss; Dominion Pictures (pref. J, 20s; Sanford, Ltd. (ex. dividend), 16s 6d; Wilsons Cement, 28s 9d; Zeehan Consolidated, ss; Kawarau, 20s.
