Provision is made for halfcrov/us, shillings, sixpences, threepences, and pennies. Then for tho actual operation. If a customer tenders say 10s for an articlo purchased at 9d, then all that is required to bo done is to press tho key lettered 9d, and the machine will throw the correct change—9s 3d. If 2s 6d is tendered for an articlo purchased at 3d, then tho pre.sing of tho key lettered 3d, will result in the machine throwing 2s 3d. The amount of tho purchase gives the key to be pressed on all occasions, j and the change- is all worked out by the I machine. Special provision is made for chango from shillings,, etc. A special key J is pressed, in addition to the lettered keys j above referred to, and the chvngo is again I worked out. The whole system is as j sirnplo as " falling oil a log," and tho I time saved in returning tho change is an I asset that cannot bo ignored by shopI keepers, theatres, ferry companies, railway departments, and in fact any business whero small change i.-, dealt with.
