OMNIBUS OWNER FINED.
BREACH OF REGULATIONS. INSPECTION OF BRAKES. The chief traffic inspector, Mr. G. R. Hogan, proceeded against Joseph Eimmcr, omnibus proprietor, at the, Police Court yesterday, before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., for having used a motor-bus after having, been warned to withdraw it from service pending official inspection. Mr. Hogan said that any slackness on the part of omnibus owners was a serious matter. Defendant had neglected to submit his vehicle for examination, of the, brakes, although warned. Rimmer .said that ho had been unable to advise the inspector that the bus was in service. Only one trip had been completed. Mr. Poynlpn: Drivers must bring their vehicles for examination upon demand. It is a grave matter. A lino of £2 was imposed.
