DRAINAGE DISPUTE.
FARMER MISUNDERSTANDS. [BY TEEEGUArH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON. Friday. Iho action in which the To Hap;,. Drainage Board is proceeding against John Holmes (Mr. Strang), for failure to clear obstructions from drains was to-day adjourned for a further month to enable defendant to carry out tho requirements. Mr. Strang explained that there was an obstruction under a culvert on the road and therefore not on defendant's property. Defendant had been under .1 mi'sunderstanding, thinking it, was this lie was being asked to remove. Mr. Cribble, for the board, said that defendant was only asked to remove obstructions on his own property.
