ABSENTEE LANDOWNERS. INSPECTOR ON THE WARPATH. [BV TELECJUATH. —OWN' C'OnnHSPONDEXT. J HOTORUA. Wednesday Two landowners, H. I!. Walker, with property in the Te Atiamuri district, and F. Wiltshire, with property in South Waihi, were fined £25 and £15 respectively by Mr. W. G. K. Kenrick, S.M., at Rotorua, for failing to destroy rabbits. Mr. J. M. Mac Donald, stock inspector, who prosecuted on behalf of the. department, drew attention to neglect by absentee owners in tho district and promised further attention to defaulters.
