MR. AUGUST BELMONT.
A. and N.Z. 4 NEW YORK, Dee. 11. Tho death is announced of Mr. August Belmont, financier and sportsman.
Tho late Mr. August was born in New York City in February, 185.3. Tie was head of the firm of August Belmont and (V,., bankers, New York, and chairman of soveral large financial, industrial and transit concerns. He was formerly president of tho Westchester Pacing Association, and evinced an interest in many branches of sport and athlotics.
