ENGLAND'S ROAD BILL.
"During the fiscal year ending March 31, 1924, the British Government expended £13,712,400 on road maintenance. This compares with an expenditure ot CI ,357.600 in the fiscal year onded March 31, 1914. The expeditnres of the g vernment supplement further large expenditures made by local authorities.
