HIGHWAY FLOWERS.
Pennsylvania highways are to become parkways of scenic splendour and beauty. Blossom-bearing vines and shrubbery, grass and vines to hide the yellow scars of road cuts will be planted by the Sta'? highway department. 300,000"vines will be required by the Ui' in the beautifying programme. Tije; will include wild roses, rambler and creeper roses, honey-suckle, shrub d< ,j----wood, and many others.
