THE THREE GIFTS.
A dainty little field mouse Lived underneath a treo There came three gallant lovers Who cried " Please marry me." Tho first one brought her cream cheese The next one gave her grain The third ono raised his tiny head And felt a spot of rain. Back to the wood he scutlered And found a toadstool houso Tho rain came pittcr patter And soaked tho dainty mouse, She :an to him for shelter, ArrJ said "No more I'll roam, Though grain and cheese are pleasant There's nothing like a home."
