FIGHT AT FOOTBALL MATCH.
COMBATANTS INVADE FIELD.
Fighting between spectators broke out in several sections of the ground during the Scottish League match between Greenock and Celtic at Greenock on November 1.
Feeling had run high from the kick- [ "ff, but v.hen the referee awarded a [penalty against ('eltm. spectators on the I western terracing began to fight, and I many people, were jammed against the | railings. Blows were also exchanged beI tween spectators near the Greenock goal, land at another part of the enclosure the j crowd invaded the field of play. A large force of plain clothes policeI men had been drafted to the. ground to (•ope with possible trouble, and they restored order. The game, which had been suspended for a time, was resumed, but, j more lighting occurred among the crowd. Four arrests were made.
