NEW MOUNT EDEX BATHS.
The new Mount Edcu Borough Baths will be officially opened by the Mayor of Mount Eden, Mr. E. H. Potter, next Monday evening, when a carnival will be held by the Mount Eden Swimming Club. A splendid programme nas been arranged. The following handicaps havo been "declared by Mr. H. Moore:—

■ THE GRAMMAR CLUB. The Grammar Swimming and Life-sav-ing Club has arranged a swimming gala to fake place at the Mount Eden baths next Wednesday evening. Races for men and ladies, life-saving contests, and a waterpolo match form'part of a varied programme. Entries close to-day. POXSOXBY CLUB'S GALA. The Ponsonby Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club will hold a swimming carnival at the Shelly Beacli Baths on Christmas Day, in aid of the school instruction classes fund. Events include 220 yards, interclub, and 50 yards club and novice handicaps, and a 100 yards ladies' handicap. Entries will close next Saturday.
