Nicholls is nuv/ resting bis injured knee in his hotel in London. He, is progressing satisfactorily and expects to play against London on December 27. The manager of the team, Mr. S. S. Dean,' has written to the Bristol Rugby Club expressing regret of the fact that the All Blacks have declined numerous applications for additional matches, infinding one from the club named. Mr. Dean explained that several players, intituling Nicholls, Stewart, Munro, and Harvey, require the maximum period <"if rest they can obtain, in view of the forthlaming severe matches. The applicants for extra matches are bitterly disappointed.
