MELBOURNE MEN'S ACTION.
■ AWARD AMENDMENT SOUGHT.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Becd. 11.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE. Dec. 11. The Waterside Workers' Federation has issued an Arbitration Court summons to have Mr. Justice Powers' original award amended in the particular section affecting rates of t>av. , Tho Primo Minister, Mr. S. M. Bruce, stated to-day that the shipowners had decided not to put any obstacle in the way of the waterside workers in their application for a new award. He predicted a speedy termination of tho dispute.
