She is expected to clear the Southern port to-morrow. The Corinna i 3 to load at Picton about Monday for Onehunga. via New Plymouth. On completion of discharge nt Onehunga the vessel will return to JNew Plymouth to load for Wellington.

The Wingatui h due this morning- from Southern ports, via New Plymouth, with cargo. She will probably leave for Welling) on. Lyttalton, Dunedin, Bluff, Oamaru, and Timaru on Monday.

LARGO LAW TO OMIT AUCKLAND. Advice has been received by Mr. G. Wallace Bews, local agent for the G. H. Scales Jand Company's chartered steamer Ltftgo jaw, that the vessel will not call at Auckand on her presiem!.; voyage. The Lurgo Law sailed from Newcastle on Sunday, presumably for Auckland, but she is now going to Westport to bunker, being due there tomorrow. Thence she proceeds to Napier to load wool, and later, to fill up with wool at Wellington. She is to sail from Wellington before the end of this month for London. Hull, and Continental ports.

PORT MELBOURNE AND PORT HUNTER. . _The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., advise that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line's Bteamors Port Melbourne and Port Hunter, are both due at Auckland on December 23. The Port Melbourne is coming from Liverpool to discharge cargo, arid to commence Homeward loading in February, and the Port Hunter will arrive from Timaru to load. NORTHEEN ; COMPANY'S VESSELS. The Northern Company's auxiliary ■choonera Motu and Otimai are loth due to- • morrow, rhe former from Opotiki, and the latter from Whakatane. They- are scheduled to sail at 4 p.m. on Monday, the Motu for Kutarere, and Opotiki. and the Otimai for Mercury Bay, Whakatane, and Whangafcoua. The auxiliary scow Pono is to sail at noon oil Monday for Tahuna, taking cargo for Torehape and Kaihere.

NEW COASTAL STEAMER. The Canterbury Steamship Company's new 6teamer River Wear, to be renamed tho Storm, arrived at Lyttelton on Saturd ly from Goole, near Hull, England, via the Azores and Panama Canai. The vessel was formerly a collier on the English coast. She was built in and her principal dimensions are:—Length. 180.6 ft., breadth, 29.4 ft.; depth, 11.5 ft. Her triple expansion engines are situated aft. She has two large hatches, and it is anticipated that when she is fitted with extra winches and double gear and other improvements are carried out. she will be a first-class carrier for the New Zealand coastal trade. Her net tonnage is 371 tons, and her gross tonnage 749 tons. The vessel can carry about 930 tons of cargo, and can obtain a speed of 10} knots. Captain O. J«icho'.as, who was in command, is on his first visit to the Dominion. He has associated with him Mr. A B. Cawthorn aa Chief officer, Mr. David Kerr as chief engineer. Mr. W, Angus, pecond, and Mr. B. Bradley, third. Mr. Kerr was accompanied on the voyage by Mis. Kerr. From (mole to Lyttelton the vessel averaged 9i knots.

THE RANGITOTO TO DOCK. The new excursion steamer '• v angitoto, which arrived from Southampton on Wednesday was towed from the Queer's Wharf to the KorthWall yesterday af tern ton. On Monday the Rangitoto will go intr dock for overhaul.

ZEALANDIC FROM THE SOUTH. The Shsiw, Savill and Albion Line steamer Zealandio is expected at this port from the South on January 15, to complete loading and sail finally for London. L. D. Nathan and Company, Ltd., are local agents. KOROIUTKO UNLOADING. The Koromiko berthed at the Prince's Wharf yesterday morning to unload a cargo of coal from Newcastle. She had a favourable and uneventful trip from that port. THE CANADIAN TRAVELLER. The Canadian Traveller was to leave Adelaide lnst.evening for New Zealand, to commence Homeward loading. She is due here from tie South on January 10. MARAMA SADLS 3 P.M. TO-DAY. The departure for Sydney of the Union Company's intercolonial passenger steamer Ma.rama has been fixed for 8 p.m. to-day. She will convoy passenger*, mails and cargo.

TAINUI FOR LONDON. The Shaw, Savill aifd Albion steamer Tainui, is to sail from Wellington for Southampton and London at four o'clock this afternoon.

THE RUAETNE. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruahine is expected at Wellington tomorrow morning from London and Southampton with passengers, mails and cargo. The Ruahine has cargo for discharge at Lyttelton also.

MAHANA TO LOAD FOR LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mahana was expected at Auckland late last night, having left Gisborne at nine o'clock yesterde>y morninc. She will berth at the Queen's Wharf this mornins to complete loading for London. THE R.M.S. MAKURA. The Royil Mail steamer Makura is diift to arrive at Vancouver from Auckland to-day. The Makura is scheduled to commence har return voyage to Sydney, via Honolulu, Suva and Auckland on December 17 and is due hire on January 5.

TREKEBVE SAILS FOR AUCKLAND. The steamer Trekieve, running to the New Zealand Shipping Company s ««ency, left Norfolk. The Hain stoamer Trelevan, running under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, arrived at Colon on Wednesday on her way from New York to Auckland. The Trelevan should arrive about January 3 and will also call at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Melbourne.

WELLINGTON-LYTTELTON SERVICE. An alteration in the inter-Island ferry service between Wellington and Lyttelton ,is announced by the Union Company. Tne Wahime will supersede the Maori on Monday, commenointr at "Wellington,' and the Maori wilk take the Mararoa'a running, leaving "Wellington on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

PAKEHA FROM LONDON. The Wanaks, is due in the harbour at seven o'clock this morning frcm Southern ports. Her cargo will- be discharged at the Central "Wharf, and she will then proceed to "Wellington. After being delayed at Napier by bad weather the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Campbell will leave that port to-day arriving at Auckland to-mor-row afternoon, or on Sunday morning. On route from Montreal to Auckland, the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Constructor, which sailed on November 25, arrived at Colon on Wednesday. She is expected here on January 3 to unload merchandise before proceeding to Australia,.

THE WRECKED WAKATU. The Wakatu, which went ashore e Waipapa Point, near the mouth of the Ciaience River, Kaikoura, Home months ago, in reported to have been driven about 20ft. further i.p the beach, and her back broken.
