THE DARGAVILLE MEETING.
PROVISIONAL EXTRA DAY. [BY TELKGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DARGAVILLE. Thursday. Conditionally on an additional totalisator permit being obtained, tho Dargaville Racing Club will hold its annual race meeting at Awakino on January 22 and January 24. Thj programme for the second day has been approved, and tho first day one approved conditionally by tho Auckland District Committee. There are 1G races, eight on each day, with a total value of prize money of £1250. in addition to a cup valued at 50 guineas, donated by the president, Mr. G. N. Hayes, and to go. with the President's Handicap. No race is of less value than £GO. The prinoipal events on the first day will be the Dargaville Cup, li miles, of £200. and the Railway Handicap, six furlongs, of £100. and on thf; second day, the President's Cup Handicap, H miles, of £150, and the Cup Flying Handicap, six furlongs, of £75.
