WAIPA RACING CLUB.
TE AWAMUTU MEETING.
Coincident, with the improvement in weather conditions, matters in connection with the Waipa Racing Club's annual race meeting, which takes place to-morrow at Te Awamutu. have brightened considerably. A large contingent of Ellerslie horses were transported to the Waikato by yesterday's train, and, with strong fields engaged in the various events, a keen interest will be centred in the Waikato gathering. Tho first race is timed to start at 11.45 a.m., and the programme will be run off in tho following order:—Pirongia Handicap Hurdle? (one mile and a-half), Kihikihi Handioap (six furlongs), -.Waioa Plate (five furlongs}, Te Awamutu Cup (one mile and a-auarter). Flying Handicap (six furlongs). Paterangi Welter Handicap (on* mile). Orakau Hack Handicap (seven furlongs), and Ohaupo Handicap (seven furlongs). It is announced that a . special train, stopping at intermediate stations, will leav6 Auckland at 6.20 a.m. to-morrow for tho Te Awamutu racecourse, returning after the races so aa to arrive back in Auckland station at 10.17 p.m.
