Flower, M.A., Senior Master in Science at Christ's College, will relincrtiish the housemastership, which he has held sq long at the school. His resignation from that position is not to be permitted by the old boys to pass without fitting recognition of his great services to the school, , a committee having been formed to arrange for a testimonial to the popular head of " Flower's House." He holds a unique position in the history of the school. He was a pupil between 1886 and 1892, and he then rose to the position of head prefect. His scholastic career was especially distinguished, an»d he joined the teaching staff in 1897, as assistant master. He was acting-headmaster of the college in 1912, 1914, and 1920. In 1915 he was president of the Old Boys' Association. Fow a number of years he has been a member of the Board of Governors of Canterbury College.
