An inquest whs bold at Mntipio this morning concerning the death of Augustus John McGahan, butcher. Evidence was given that deceased was found hanging bv a rope behind his bedroom door, also that he had been worried over business and ha/1 been drinking fairly heavily. though he was sober at the time he took his life.
The coroner returned a verdict of suicide by hanging. He remarked that there was no evidence of insanity at all, every witnoss being firmly of opinion that deceased \*as quite in his right sonses.
