At tho quarterly meeting of tho Thames Licensing Bench hold to-day the following transfers were granted: Coromandel Hotel, from J, O'Hara to H. Hopkins; Pioneer Hotel, Hi.kutaia, from Julia Corbett to A. Kerr; Shortland Hotel, Thames, from W. J. Somes to B. Grundy; Railway Hotel, Mercer, from A. Kerr to H. A. Scott. An application for the transfer of the Bay View Hotel, Miranda, was held over until December 19. pending a certificate of fitness being obtained for Mr. Lillyman, as transferee. Mr. Clendon, who appeared for the owner, stated that it had been decided to build a new up-to-date house, to replaco tho old one. The plans of the new building were produced I and approved ; by the Bench.
