WATER SUPPLY WASTAGE.
POSSIBILITY OF A LEAK.
NEWMARKET INVESTIGATION.
The question of excessive water consumption in Newnnarket was the subject of a report received by the Borough Council last evening from the Waterworks Committee.
The report stated that steps were being taken to ascertain definitely whether any leakages existed in the system. The turncock had been instructed to watch the metres and carry out tests during the night at periods when it could be presumed that, a minimum quantity of water w.is being used. The committee would probably submit a comprehensive report on the subject at the next meeting on January 14.
