HELENSVILLE TRAINS.
THE NEW TIME-TABLE.
COMPLAINT FROM KUMEU. [bi telegraph.—own correspondent.] KUMEU. Wednesday. Altorations have been made in the running -trine of the afternoon train from Helen s-sille to Auckland, which means an extension of the travelling time of 25 minuted The time is spent in the main at the Henderson station. The local Ratepayers' Association is taking the matter up with the Railway Department to see if some better arrangement can be made.. Since Monday the time actually accupied in travelling by this train, which leaves Helensville at 3.45 p.m., has been three hours and five minutes for the journey of 38 miles. ' The train leaving Auckland for Helensville at 1.20 p.m. is taking 20 minutes longer to do the trip. That the department is making a serious mistake in disregarding the interests of the travellers is shown by the fact that a motor service has commenced running, making the run in two hours at competitive rates.
