HOBSON POWER DISTRICT.
BOARD MAKING A MOVE. APPROACHING THE DEPARTMENT [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] DARGAVILLE. Wednesday.
The Hobson Electric Power Board yesterday decided to apply to the Minister for Public Works for the terraa and conditions on which the department will supply power to the board, what guarantee will be required, whether the board will be required to initial a transmission line, and for any further information in connection with the matter, especially in regard to reticulation work. Mr. Paul, representing the Dargavillo BoroMgh Council, suggested that the board should call a conference of all the local bodies in the north with a view to forming one large district. The meeling was not in favour c i the proposal.
