HOW THE GREAT WAR AROSE.
DISCLOSURES TO BE MADE.
LONDON. Dec. 2. The Foreign Office has decided to issue ft collection of official documents bearing oil the European situation, out of which the ■ Great War arose.
This decision is contained in a letter from the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Austen Chamberlain, to Dr. Seton Watson, Professor of Central European History at London University. In a letter to the Times Dr. Watson' called tho attention of Mr. Chamberlain to the harm that neglect to publish official papers connected with, tho origin of tho war was doing to Britain abroad.
It is. stated by Mr. Chamberlain that in future the Foreign Office records up to 1878 will bo available to persons engaged In historical research. At present only Records to 1860 are available.
Mr. Chamberlain adds that tho new arrangement will come into force as soon fas tho consent of tho Dominions has been Obtained. Most of these, he says, have tlready assented.
