DIVORCE SUIT GRANTED.
GROUND OF LUNACY. NO CHANCE OF RECOVERY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON. Tuesday. An undefended petition for divorce was heard in the Supremo Court at Hamilton this morning before His Honor Mr. Justice Herdman when Gerald Edgar Cluildford applied for a dissolution of his marriage with Margaret Grace Guildford, on the grounds that she was a hopeless lunatic and had been confined in a. mental hospital since 1914. Petitioner told the Court thkt after his wife went to the asylum he learned that prior to their marriage she had been confined in u mental hospital. He did not know this when he married her. Evidence was given by 'die medical superintendent of Tokanui Mental Hospital thai; there was no chance of the. woman ever recovering her mental balance. A decree ni: i was granted, to be made absolute :,u three months.
