ROOM FOR BETTERMENT.
[BV telegraph. —TRESS association.] CHE ISTCfIU EC 11. Tuesday.
The board of tho New Zealand Trotting - Association today considered a (■oniniunifntioii from the secretary of the Royal Agricultural Society Mating that, although tho consensus of opinion among breeders and the genera! public was that the Royal Show was a distinct success, yet some of thn newspapers of the Dominion had adversely criticised its management, and therefore it behoved the, council of the society to make good any shortcomings. The Trotting Association was asked to forward any suggestions lor the betterment of the organisation and tho carrying out of the, next Royal Show in Christchurch. The chairman, Mr. I'. Selig, said from what lie could gather the Royal Show had not been very wonderful as far as trotting was concerned, hut he thought that tho next show, which, would bo held in Christchurch, the centre of a district, famous for trotting, would be a great deal better. lie thought the board might appoint, a committee to consult .with the. judge with a view to offering i suggestions. Tho matter was left to the executive.
