PRODUCE FOR BRITAIN.
BUTTER AND CHEESE.
The imports of butter, cheese and margarine into Great Britain for nine months ended September 30 are announced by tho New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board. New Zealand was tho largest exporter of cheese to Britain, but Denmark supplied tho Home market with the largest amount of butter. Details of the quantities imported from the various countries are as follow :—
Butter.—Finland, 104,988cwt.; Sweden, 46,666; Denmark, 1,320,829; Holland, 79.279; Fran.ie, 10,519; United States, 11,785; Argentine, 430,915; Irish Free State, 381,251; Australia, 424,00'? Now Zealand, 863,430; Canada, 46,651; other countries, 324,117. Total, . 4,044,434cwt., as compared with 3,281,842cwt. and 4,019,956cwt. in the same months of 1f.'22l f .'22 and 1923.
Cheese.—Holland, 115,382cwt. ; Italy, 103,283; United States, 14.881; Australia, 32.383; Now Zealand, 1,340,806; Canada, 534,354; other countries, 36.088. Total, 2,177,1770wt, as compared with 2,098.843 cwt. and 2,127,004cwt. in tho corresponding months of 1922 and 1923. Margarine.—Total imports, 916,712cwt.
