TENNIS COURTS FOR GREY LYNN.
! Sir.—At the present time the City Council is levelling another section of the Grey Lynn Park, but; no provision has apparently been made '.for. tennis . courts. .'. It would not cost much, while...this "work is in progress, to level, say, sufficient ground for four or six.courts- V. : Thfro, is no ~cs- i - (ion as to whether the courts would pay. as witness the other City -Council courts at Victoria Park, .Heme*; Bay, etc. The Grey Lynn district-is more thickly ppptxj lated than any* other-suburb, yet it is conspicuously lacking in all facilities for sport, with the exception of ft small semi. 11 neglected area called-i .-Hoot ball ground. 'I therefore hope that- advantage will be taken of this opportunity, and that .soon we will see the Grey Lynn tennis court'!) an accomplished' fact.* 1. -am sure- if .' some of our public-spirited., citizens, would. -* interest themselves ill,- the matter they would forever enshrine themselves in the • memories of the present and future residents of the district, ';',;;;, Open Air.
