Twenty armed Spaniards have been arrested at Perpignans, in the Eastern Pyrenees, France. They have confessed that they were engaged in a plot against the Spanish Directory. A telegram from Barcelona describes the police pursuit of the suspects and a prolonged fight with revolvers in a boulevard at. San Antinio, resulting in the killing of one policeman and the wounding of another. Seven suspects were arrested, all of whom were carrying bombs and revolvers. The Spanish Embassy in London states that an armed band of 30 entered the province of Navarra from France and were forced to recross the frontier, leaving one dead and one wounded, while five were taken prisoners.
