He pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct ■while drunk, resisting arrest, and damaging a constable's uniform. I At the magistrate's request the trousers were produced in Court, and it was seen that they were torn at ono knee. "You can patch them," remarked the magistrate. - , ~ ,P Well, Your Worship, we don t allow constables to go about in patched trousers." remonstrated the sub-inspector. The Magistrate: Oh, don t you'' Accused was ordered to pay 10s, he amount of the damage done to the trousers.
