NEW YORK'S CHAMPION.
Miss Isabella Agnes O'Neill, who has just joined the New York police forco, is said to bo the champion policewoman of the world—in intelligence and in good looks. At a recent entrance examination for policewomen she \\'&s top of tho list with over 92 per cent, of marks. Fifty-two passed the examination out of 110 candidates', and 37 of tho 52 have Irish names, which is all according to tradition in the New .York force. In entering tho polico force and giving up her position as a » dress designer, Miss O'Neill mado a money sacrifice, but she was determined to bo a policewoman. Miss O'Noill was a Ked Cross worker during tho war. She ir well odilcatod, haying gone to a convent in Elmira after finishing at v a public school. In her new work sho is particularly interested in welfare work among young girls. Her physicul perfection is <jue to the fact that she ,is a lover of outdoor snorts.
