SWORD-FISHING GROUNDS.
MANY VISITORS EXPECTED.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] | TATJRANC-A, Friday. 1 The populai-ity of sword-fishitg and other deep-sea sport off Mayor and Motiti Islands is increasing. During the past .couple of weeks inquiries have been mada on behalf of a party of six Palmerston North residents who intend to test the local fishing grounds during the holidays. Others who are making arrangements to come here include enthusiasts from Melbourne, Auckland, ana the East Coast. A prominent English risitor is also likely to try his luck. ! Swordfish have been sighted already this .season, and there is every prospect of the grounds being visited by a record number of sportsmen.
