EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
GOVERNMENT GUARANTEE.
A. and N.Z. LONDON, Oct. 10. In replying to a question in the House of Comsions, the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, said he believed that the proposal had not yet been passed to increase the British Government's guaran : tee for the Empire Exhibition from £100,000 to £600,000. The question whether it could be carried/ out administratively was being investigated.
