MT. ALBERT GREEN OPENS,
INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP.
The official opening of the Mount Albert bowling and croquet greens took place on Saturday, and despite the unfavourable weather there was a very good attendance of members and visitors. The president, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth. extended a hearty welcome to the visitors from sister clubs, and also to the Auckland Centre representative. Mr. T. George. Mr. Holdsworth referred to the large increase in the club membership, which is taking plsx;a as the district grows, and B3id die was of opinion that the club would soon rank as one of tho leading clubs in the Auckland centre. Visitora present expressed warm appreciation of tha green, which waa iu excellent condition.
